We got to go up and see the house in Vershire today, and meet the renters (we inherited them when we brought the house from my FIL several years ago) It is actually in better shape than we thought. See, this house was built in 1979 by Jeremy's parents and their various friends and partners and during a time when Vermont code was much looser than now. There are major things like the electrical and windows that have to be upgraded/replaced, but it doesn't look like we will have to tear the house down to the framing to get it ready for living in ourselves when Aenea goes to High School. She has picked where she wants her bedroom to be, up on the top floor in the Gable Room.
