Our town is small, in a small state. Vershire currently has a population of 630 or so, with Vermont having a population of around 624,000. Even the largest city in the state, Burlington, is the smallest of it's kind with about 39,000 people. As the pictures show, there are four buildings that make up the "hub" of the town of Vershire: the Library, the Post Office, the Town Offices and the Town Hall. They are located within about a mile of each other on VT Route 113, between West Fairlee and Chelsea. I was able to stand in Route 113 while taking the pictures, not something one would try, say, on FL Route 60 in Vero Beach. We have recycling drop-off every other week or so, and that's a good time to catch up with people from the town. The postmaster also knows everyone by address, and that is a change.
As for beyond town, Aenea is settling in well at her new school. She decided to play soccer, which is offered as an after school extracurricular -- this was a big thing for her as she has never tried sports, let alone team sports before. She's made a few good friends and enjoys "hanging out" before school. She's also excited about learning about Vermont, which is the theme for this trimester. She is adjusting to the increasing coldness as Autumn creeps up on us, but fortunately it has been a gradual change. As more of the colors are coming out, we'll have to take some pictures and post them.

You sound so calm for someone who has just gone through a huge transition from life in a bustling megalopolis to, well, what appears to be nothing. I am glad Aenea is doing well, and think it is very pretty where you are. Just...isolated. I guess that's the idea, though!
