California

Yes, we did move to Vermont, and I will get to blogging on that shortly, but first a more westerly diversion. From July 23rd to August 4th (or so) we went to California. Jeremy had his annual NCRA convention in Anaheim and then we took a few extra days to see some friends. Getting there and back was terrible, as we were delayed by a day on both ends! In California, we experienced our first earthquake while in Los Angeles. We also went to a few theme parks and two national parks.

The theme parks were Disneyland, Universal and Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was interesting to compare Disneyland and Universal to their counterparts in Orlando -- basically, they were both smaller, and this made them feel more manageable in a day. At Six Flags, Jeremy and Aenea both rode 9 roller coasters and I rode 2.

As for national parks, we went to Joshua Tree and Sequoia National Park. Both were amazing. Pictures can be found HERE.
