Aenea started her rehearsals for Oklahoma today. In the first week the director has the kids read and sing before parts are assigned, so no word on that yet. She will be on the stage December 15th and 16th, no matter if she has a part or is part of the chorus.
We are also getting calls for her birthday invitations. We didn't write it in code, but did word it:
Front: The End is near...
Inside top: ..and so is Aenea's 11th Birthday. We are sorry to inform you that her party will be part of the dreadful gathering for the release of A Series of Unfortunate Events: The End. We are meeting with other noble people to find out the fate of the Baudelaire orphans at Barnes and Noble on US 1 in Jensen Beach.
Inside bottom: Although we are sure you'd rather just stay at school, we will meet there from 4-6 pm on Friday, October 13. Please call Sandy at {home number} to RSVP or to tell us where you'd rather be spending your time.
With all due respect,
Aenea Thorne
A few people didn't get it, thought it was odd we'd be sorry about the party. Oops. On the other hand, some people thought it was clever. All three of us worked on it.

I LOVE it. It just reads with that dreadfully, monotone voice, too. And how cool that the party will be on Friday the 13th! Have fun (or should I say, "have a dreadful time").
:)
Does that mean The End will be for sale on the 13th??? I lost track! Guess I will be shopping for a book this weekend!
;-)
Oh yes, The End is here and it is good.
