Fun in the Sun

Jollyn and Sandy at dinner.
We had some beautiful weather down here this weekend, and we took full advantage of it. Jollyn and I and the girls went to a show down at Palm Beach Community College, then headed off to the zoo. I saw the new South American exhibit, which included...Capybara! Yeah! Aenea took a bunch more pictures, but has not loaded them off her camera yet.

Sunday I told Jeremy and his brother (who is currently staying with us from New York) to make the time to get outside, preferably on the water. They agreed that this was a great idea so we loaded up the kayaks and did one of my favorite runs, which is a short trip down the Indian River Lagoon to a cut-through in the mangroves that is only accessible to small, non-powered boats and ends up on a lovely beach, where we hung out, walked, and had some lunch before heading back.

That kayak trip sure looked fun. I love all the mangroves--nice there are still some parts of Florida that aren't all developed, huh?

Sounds like the weather was as great for you as it was here in Ontario. Glad to have the sun and warmth finally.
Kayaking, now that is something we haven't done in a LONG time!!
