If you Give a Mouse a Quarter (or four)...

Also known as the interesting new toy in our house...

There is this huge bowling/arcade/mini-golf/buncha-stuff-to-do place near us. In the arcade they have a DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and Aenea has been having fun on it, which led to Jeremy looking for Open Source DDR software for the computer. He choose StepMania and he and Aenea have been having fun editing dances and adding to the music library from some of our ripped collection (Cabaret Votaire and Die Warzu in a DDR? -- yep, in our house!!) Now, this in turn led to the purchase of a nice metal dance pad for the house (good thing we have a big office.)

...and Jeremy is totally addicted to it. I am going to have to set up a timer to make sure he shares nicely with Aenea. Aenea is also having fun on it and is looking forward to inviting friends over to use it. It does happen to be a great workout, although I have tried it and mostly trip over my own two feet. I think I'll stick to Curves for my main workout for the time being.

Addition requested by Jeremy -- as fun as the DDR is, there is no helping looking like Mr. Bean while using it. The Bean Quotient is determined by the dancer. Sandy, for instance has a very high (nearly 1:1) Bean Quotient.
