ch..ch..ch..changes

So this year we've changed a few big-little things. One of those was the accountant handling our business; we'd been working with the prior one for 12 years. In changing accountants I am also changing the software I use to do bookkeeping from Quicken to Quickbooks. Same company, and they encourage companies to upgrade to Quickbooks, so it should be a snap to go from one to the other, right?

Hahaha. In a move not unlike transferring from Works to Office, none of the information talks to each other. After hours online in forums and with tech support, it looks like I am going to have to manually transfer/type in all our transactions for the last two years. And the online banking as far as our checking/saving just will not work, so that will be several more hours on tech support.

I am supposed to be in Orlando today celebrating a friend's birthday. And I am not because of family stuff. Oh well, I have Quickbooks to distract me.
